Despite an unexpected delay, filmmaker Holden Boyles can now officially say he is a video game developer. Qora, originally scheduled for a September 25 release, finally launched on Steam today.
The Curve Digital-published title began its development cycle under the name Spirit after raising nearly $11,000 on Kickstarter. It had an original goal of just $4,000.
The indie adventure game promises a mystical journey through artistic landscapes paired with a narrative experience, paying tribute to classic adventure games along the way.
The game is currently available for Mac and PC. A Linux version is expected to launch on Steam in the near future.
Boyles also announced through the game’s Kickstarter page that mobile versions of the game are still planned, but development for those versions is not expected to resume until the end of October.
