Square Enix confirms availability of FFXV demo

Square Enix have confirmed that only the day one edition of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will come complete with a demo for their upcoming epic RPG, Final Fantasy XV – rather than all copies as had originally been speculated.

At the same time, the company also announced the release of a collector’s edition for the HD remaster. It’ll set consumers back $100/£79.99/€99.99, but really does look like something to salivate over. The set includes a golden steelbook case, a 15-track composer’s selections soundtrack, a 200-page manga comic, an 80-page art book, five life-sized replicas of the iconic cards held by Class Zero’s Ace – as well as the aforementioned Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae demo.

Type-0 was originally released for the PSP in 2011, and will follow Square’s Final Fantasy VII, X and X-2 in receiving the current-gen HD remaster treatment. Final Fantasy XV, meanwhile, has been in development since 2006, and provides intrigue with its promise of a much darker, grittier atmosphere than previous entries in the series.

The game will launch on March 20, 2015 for PS4 and Xbox One, and you can preorder the collector’s edition directly through Square Enix at the following locations:
