The Princess Bride Mobile Game Released

Gameblend Studios, the creators of games such as Sidekick Cycle and Brick Arcade, have just released their newest title that is borderline inconceivable.

The Princess Bride: The Official Game lets players relive moments from the popular 1987 fantasy movie in small, bite-sized chunks that are similar to other mobile games.

As illustrated in the video announcing the game’s launch, players must battle shrieking eels, scale the Cliffs of Insanity, engage in a duel with Inigo, and wrestle the giant. All of the mini games have leaderboards, challenges, and awards. Among the awards, players can expect soundbites and clips from the original movie. Free updates have been promised that center around a test of wits and surviving the Fire Swamp.

The game is currently available only on the app store for $3.99, and is compatible with the iPod, iPhone, and iPad. Originally announced back in 2012, the game was said to be in development for iOS, Android, and Kindle devices. However, no word has been given regarding a release on non-Apple devices thus far.

Will you be playing this game? If so, have fun storming the castle!
