Super Mario Amiibo To Be Timed Exclusive

The titular Mario figurine of the new Super Mario amiibo series will not be available on store shelves with the rest of the line-up at launch.

Yeah.

When Mario Party 10 launches alongside the Super Mario amiibo series on March 20, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser, and Toad will all be available separately. If you want to pick up Mario, however, you’ll have to buy the Mario Party 10 bundle that he comes in. According to the Amazon listing for the set, it is, “for a limited time, the only way to play with the Mario Party Mario amiibo included” – meaning that Mario won’t be seen separate from Mario Party 10 for some time.

This is further confirmed by Amazon listings that show all the Super Mario series amiibo except for Nintendo’s iconic plumber. Exactly how long this hardware exclusivity will be in place is unclear, as Nintendo has yet to give an official statement.

What do you think about hardware exclusivity? Will this boost Mario Party 10 sales? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
