Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered Announced

David Cage and Quantic Dream’s cinematic action-adventure title Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America) is set for a surprise remastered release, according to an Amazon listing posted yesterday.

Originally released in 2005 for PS2, Xbox and PC, the game was a breakthrough in interactive, cinematic gaming; paving the way for Quantic Dream’s later critically acclaimed titles, Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls.

Directed and written by Cage, Indigo Prophecy is a paranormal thriller, which features New York City being blighted by a series of murders in which ordinary people are possessed and forced to kill strangers. The original PC release holds an impressive Metacritic score of 85.

The remastered version, which is set for release this Thursday (January 29) on Steam and mobile, features updated, HD graphics and completely recreated textures. It is also based on the uncut, uncensored version of the game, which didn’t originally make it onto store shelves in North America.

The Amazon listing lines up with Quantic Dreams’ teaser website,, which features a countdown message in the same style as the game’s typeface.
