Xbox One System Update Rolling Out Now


The first major update of the new year is currently being rolled out for Microsoft’s Xbox One console, the company has today confirmed.

By way of the Xbox Wire, director of Xbox Live programming Larry Hyrb announced the full details of the download, which promises to “enhance [players’] gaming and entertainment experiences on Xbox One”.

Notable features include controller stability improvements; the introduction of PSN-inspired game hubs, which collate interesting content relating to the currently selected title such as tips, videos and leaderboards; improved party chat and a number of TV-related updates.

Hyrb added: “The passion and enthusiasm we’ve seen from the Xbox Live community in helping Xbox deliver the best gaming experience possible has been amazing and we can’t wait to see what other ideas are in store for us.
