Capcom has today released the latest trailer for its hotly anticipated PS4 and PC brawler, Street Fighter V.
The short video, which showcases some new gameplay footage from the title, confirms recent rumours that fan favourite Charlie Nash will be returning to the main series as a playable character for the first time since Street Fighter Alpha 3.
Nash, who was first referenced in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, has appeared mainly as Guile’s mentor in several other SF titles. However, today’s trailer seems to suggest that he will feature much more prominently in Street Fighter V. In a press release sent out earlier, a Capcom representative said: “While the mysteries surrounding his return will become clear later on, for now we’re pleased to announce that the originator of the Sonic Boom is back with quite a few new tricks.”
In other news, the developer also confirmed that the game will feature one of the most comprehensive beta programs ever seen in a Street Fighter title, with all of those who pre-order the game set to be automatically enrolled. The release date for the PC and PlayStation-exclusive title is still to be confirmed.
