Sony has finally confirmed this month’s line-up of free games available to PS Plus subscribers – and it makes for impressive reading.
SCEE PS Store and PS Plus content manager Chris Howe took to the official PlayStation blog earlier to announce the full details of this month’s titles, which will be available following the PlayStation Store’s update later today.
On the PS4, players will firstly have access to Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, the HD remake of the classic PS1 platformer, Abe’s Oddyssee. A generally content floor waxer in the RuptureFarms meat processing plant, Abe overhears his boss’s secret plan to turn the factory’s slave workers into tasty treats, forcing him to set out on a quest to save himself and lead his fellow enslaved Mudokons to freedom.
Another highlight on the PS4 comes in the form of Ubisoft’s critically acclaimed puzzle adventure game Valiant Hearts: The Great War, whose unique art style and gripping gameplay helped make it one of our Games of the Year for 2014.
Also available on the PS4 will be Roll7’s newly released side-scrolling skating title OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, which PlayStation Vita users can also download to their consoles along with another cross-platform title, CounterSpy.
PlayStation 3 users certainly aren’t being neglected, either. Along with CounterSpy, Frogware’s adventure/mystery epic Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments will be available for download for the console, as well as the relatively unknown adventure puzzler Papo and Yo.
