2K Games have this week revealed the new Observer Mode for Evolve, which will allow a sixth party to view and live-stream matches from multiple angles.
The free gameplay option will give the viewer the ability to change the camera’s perspective from hunters to monster and vice versa; even allowing an additional Daisy cam if the space bloodhound is present in the match.
Many have speculated that Evolve’s future lies in professional gaming, and this tool will go some way to helping cement this; allowing easy streaming to Twitch and showing detailed info like buffs and chances of survival for both teams.
HUD customization options, like a minimap overlay and cinematic angles, will also be available to broadcasters – a valuable tool for anybody who wants a personalized stream. The only catch is that the game must be set up in a custom match and the sixth person must be added to the game.
Observer Mode will be made available for all platforms the asymmetrical four versus one shooter appears on in the near future, though an exact release date is still to be confirmed.
