Warner Bros have today confirmed rumours that the Xbox 360 and PS3 version of Mortal Kombat X, developed by High Voltage, has been delayed until the summer.
It’s not all bad news, however, as the current-gen and PC version of the fighter, produced by NetherRealm, is still on track for its original release date next month.
In a statement posted earlier today, the publisher said: “Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment today confirmed that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Mortal Kombat X being developed by High Voltage Software will release this summer. The Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC versions will be available April 14.”
The speculation over the delay began earlier in the month, when a number of players noticed that the game’s Amazon product page listed a June 30 release date for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, while a recent trailer unveiled by Warner Bros omitted logos for each console.
