Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin will now release ahead of schedule in Europe, publisher Bandai Namco has this week announced.
Although the remastered action RPG was originally slated to launch on April 7, it will now arrive on April 2 for PS4, Xbox One and PC; five days ahead of its US release.
The upgraded re-release will come with a host of updates, including visual and performance improvements, new enemies and expanded storyline elements.
Much of the content set to be included in Scholar of the First Sin found its way into a free patch released last month for the last-gen editions of the From Software title, prompting some confusion amongst fans as to what exactly will be new in the remastered version of the critically acclaimed fantasy game. Early footage has demonstrated new enemy placement, such as an unexpected guardian dragon near Heides Tower of Flame, which is sure to be an intimidating addition to the already notoriously challenging title.
