Microsoft is exploring the possibility of publishing a remastered version of Remedy’s survival horror title Alan Wake, if a recent survey is anything to go by.
An official Xbox questionnaire was sent out earlier today to selected users, questioning them on whether or not they would be interested in a re-release of the Microsoft exclusive game.
The survey not only asks participants how great their interest is in Remedy’s survival horror game, but also mentions a remastered version as a potential pack-in title with the developer’s upcoming Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break.
Originally released for the Xbox 360 in May 2010, Alan Wake garnered a strong critical reception for its effective storytelling and imaginative gameplay. With a full re-imagining unlikely, a 60 frames per second, 1080p update – similar to Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us – may instead arrive alongside Quantum Break in 2016.
