The Predator has been confirmed as the latest DLC character for Mortal Kombat X, thanks to an official listing on the Xbox store.
The product page confirms the titular antagonist of the 1987 film will be joining slasher icon Jason Voorhees in the Kombat Pack, available to players who purchase the premium edition of the game. Finally, the argument of ‘my campsite murderer can beat up your alien skull collector’ can come to an end.
The special edition will allow players to use four new characters, including two ‘Klassic Mortal Kombat Characters’ as of yet unannounced.
NetherRealm also demonstrated a new form of game finisher, known as a ‘Quitality’, during a live stream yesterday, wherein players exiting an online match early will have their kombatant’s head explode, granting their opponent an instantaneous win. This joins the returning Brutalities on the long list of ways in which MKX will allow you to humiliate your foes.
The game launches April 14 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. It is slated to release for Xbox 360 and PS3 in the summer.
