PlayStation Japan has today unveiled a full range of limited edition Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain-themed Xperia smartphones and tablets.

To coincide with the highly anticipated title’s launch next month, Sony has teamed up with game publisher Konami to offer the gadgets for sale exclusively to consumers in Japan. Each comes complete with a special cover, pre-installed original MGS5 wallpapers, and selected songs from the game’s soundtrack.

Pre-orders are open now for the MGS-branded Xperia J1, Z4 and Z3, plus the Walkman NW-ZX2 and NW-A16 – all of which will launch alongside Metal Gear Solid V in Japan on September 2.

I want one of these phones to make it to the U.S. I get that this ”Game” has way 2 much product placement even for Japans taste. However i’m just one of those mis informed individuals who wish to shove money down Konamis throat. “Cause it’s how I roll”

They talk about tablets and phones but post a picture of a Walkman. Is there a reliable source to corroborate this story? – Oh, nevermind. I just saw the link now..
