Curve Digital have today confirmed that sci fi-themed adventure game Nova-111 will launch next week across all current-gen platforms, with early purchasers receiving a special discount.
The title, developed by Funktronic Labs, combines turn-based and real-time strategy to solve puzzles and fight hordes of aliens. Players take control of research vessel Nova and must explore a twisted turn-based world ravaged by real time to rescue the 111 scientists lost in the aftermath of the universe’s greatest science experiment.
Funktronic co-founder Eddie Lee, who has previously won acclaim for his work on PixelJunk at Q Studios, said: “With only a few days left before the game launches, I am both excited and terrified. We have been blown away by the incredible reception Nova-111 has received so far and after two years in development we are itching for players to get their hands on the game.”
Nova-111 launches August 25 on PlayStation 4, PS Vita, PS3 and Steam, with the Xbox One version following on August 28 and a Wii U release coming shortly thereafter. The game will be priced at £11.99 across all platforms, but will be 20 per cent off (£9.60) for the first two weeks of its release.
