PlayStation 20th Anniversary Edition DualShock 4 Release Date Pushed Back in the US

DualShock 4 PlayStation 20th Anniversary

The PlayStation 20th Anniversary limited edition DualShock 4 has been pushed back from its slated launch date of September 9, according to the controller’s Amazon listing.

To celebrate 20 years since the release of the original PlayStation, Sony has commissioned the special PS4 joypad, which is designed in the familiar “Original Grey” colour of the PS1, and also features the original, full-colour PlayStation logo. It will now release on September 18 in the United States, with its European launch date of September 16 currently unaffected.

The controller was previously only available as part of the PS 20th Anniversary PS4 bundle, which was released in extremely limited quantities back in December. Those who forked out for the console bundle shouldn’t be too disappointed, however, as the soon-to-be-launched DualShock 4’s touchpad differs slightly from the one featured in the limited edition release.
