“Unbelievable, Jeff!”: Sky Sports Presenter Jeff Stelling Axed From FIFA 16

Popular Sky Sports presenter Jeff Stelling will not be returning to his hosting duties in FIFA 16, EA Sports has today confirmed.

Earlier, the developer outlined the game modes that won’t be making the cut for the title’s release on PS3 and Xbox 360 due to “console limitations and available resources”. While some cutbacks were expected on FIFA 16’s last-gen edition, Stelling’s pre and post-match contributions – which made their first appearance in FIFA 14 – will be absent from all versions of the game, including on PS4 and Xbox One.

The full list of features removed from the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game is as follows:

  • Creation Centre
  • Custom Music and Chants
  • The FIFA Interactive World Cup (*available on PlayStation 4 & Xbox One)
  • GameFace
  • In-game presentation with Jeff Stelling (*also removed from PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC)
  • Match Lobbies
  • Secondary English commentary with Clyde Tyldesley and Andy Townsend

FIFA 16 is set to release on September 24 across current and last-gen systems, with its demo now available to download for free.
