During a live stream to show off the remastered Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Naughty Dog has teased just a little of what fans should expect from the overall story of upcoming PS4 exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.

Naughty Dog community strategist Eric Monacelli was joined by series writer Josh Scherr and lead animator Eric Baldwin for the ‘Uncharted Moments’ session on Twitch, in which the trio discussed development on the remastered collection and fielded some fan questions about the series as a whole.

Baldwin said rather than feeling sad about closing the Nathan Drake saga, he’s excited that Naughty Dog will be able to give fans a “fitting final chapter”, utilising the technological advancements of the PlayStation 4. Scherr, meanwhile, commented that the team at Naughty Dog are trying to “close [the saga] off with a fantastic game, while trying to wrap up a lot of loose ends here and there”.

The veteran developer added that while there will be plenty included in A Thief’s End for long-time fans to appreciate, it has also been written and designed in such a way as to appeal to newcomers to the action-adventure franchise, and allow them to become invested in the game.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is scheduled to release on March 18, 2016, while Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will launch next month, on October 7.
