Extended WWE 2K16 Gameplay Video Shows off Hideo Itami, Tyler Breeze & NXT Arena

After weeks of nothing but short, Vine-like teaser clips, the developers over at 2K Games are finally giving wrestling fans some more substantial WWE 2K16 pre-launch footage this week.

The latest gameplay video posted on the WWE2KDev YouTube channel showcases an NXT match between Japanese legend Hideo Itami (formerly known as Kenta Kobayashi) and Tyler Breeze. Focusing mainly on a number of newly animated moves for Itami, the clip also gives fans a good look at the realistic-looking NXT arena included in the upcoming title.

We’re also starting to get a feel for how the dynamics of the three-man commentary team of Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, JBL and Michael Cole – the first time the trio have worked together in the series – will play out in-game. While there are still a few cringeworthy moments, the announcing – along with more dynamic crowd audio – is vastly improved on previous entries in the long-running pro wrestling franchise.

WWE 2K16 is scheduled to release on October 27 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
