It has been widely regarded as one of the worst games of all time, but that’s not stopping Saudi Arabian developer Semaphore from ploughing ahead with episode two in its Unearthed: Trail of Ibn Battuta saga.
Clearly made to cash in on the popularity of Naughty Dog’s PlayStation exclusive series Uncharted, the first episode of Unearthed was released back in 2013 and holds the dubious honour of being the only game Power Up Gaming has scored with a one out of ten. And frankly, looking back, we think that was far too generous. Now, with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End gaining a lot of media attention, Semaphore will no doubt again look to catch out unsuspecting customers with their inferior product.
At the Gamers’ Day 2015 expo in Saudi Arabia, Sephamore announced three projects, with an as-of-yet translated first-person horror title and an open world game supplementing their Unearthed announcement.
Unearthed, which has switched over to Unreal Engine 3 from Unity, is expected to release on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
