In a bit of unsurprising news, Cobalt, the next game from publisher Mojang, has been delayed until February 2016. While the game was previously scheduled for an October 30 release date, Mojang and developer Oxeye Games made a blog post today to announce the delay.
Along with the announcement, a short video was included as the post reported “our current build is buggier than we’re comfortable with.” The post also predicts the game will be finished before the new release date but indicates console release complications will push the date to February.
Cobalt has been described as a 2D side-scrolling action game with a single-player and coop adventure mode, a level editor, and several multiplayer modes including deathmatch, capture the flag, and survival that supports up to 8 players.
Players can expect Cobalt to arrive in February 2016 as the game is scheduled to release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
