Coffin Dodgers, the kart racer that features wacky pensioners driving around on their mobility scooters, is heading to Xbox One and PS4 in 2016, its developer has today announced.
In a press release, Liverpool-based firm Milky Tea Studios announced that it has teamed up with Bridgend’s Wales Interactive to bring the game, which is currently available on Steam after a successful Early Access campaign, to current-gen consoles.
Jon Holmes, Milky Tea’s founder and managing director, said: “We feel that [Coffin Dodgers’] natural home is on console and that is why we have been searching for the right partner who is as passionate about this game as we are. We are lucky to have found such a talented team as Wales Interactive to collaborate with on this project and think they will only help us make this game better and better.”
Wales Interactive’s managing director, Dai Banner, added: “We’ve been following Coffin Dodgers on Steam for quite a while and have been blown away with the zany creativity and imagination from Milky Tea Studios. We’re thrilled to be in a position where we can help other independent studios bring their games to consoles and show the world what the UK indie scene is all about.”
Earlier this month, Power Up Gaming checked out Coffin Dodgers at Play Expo in Manchester, and chatted to Jon Holmes about what sets the game apart from other karting games.
