Finder.com reported earlier today that Sony’s PlayStation 4 has over 500 games in the West. This list includes games all of the games available to download via the PlayStation Store.
Finder.com found that over half of these games are “indies” with only 252 of the 516 games available coming from major publishers. Ever since the PlayStation Event of February 2013 Sony has put a lot of focus on independent titles so it comes as no surprise that “indies” are so prominent on the PlayStation Store.
Additionally, Finder.com also stated that the Xbox One currently has 349 games available to the general public. While 516 games in less than two years is certainly a massive achievement, the PlayStation 4 has a long way to go to match the PlayStation 2’s vast library which is nearly 3900 games strong.
