Earlier today developer Mike Bithell announced that the top-down puzzle title Volume will be available on the PS Vita come January 5th in North America and a day later in Europe. The full announcement can be viewed by clicking here. Bithell also confirmed that Volume will be cross-buy on the PlayStation systems meaning that if you have purchased the title on one system than you will be able to access the title on the other free of charge.
Bithell went on to talk about his experience of bringing Volume over to the PS Vita:
It’s been a source of frustration for me that we didn’t get to release it alongside the other platforms. We missed our launch day for personal reasons, but having missed that date, we decided to take the opportunity to pour a great deal of attention into the Vita version, learning from the feedback other platforms were getting, and working hard to ensure that this game was worth the wait. And while that wait was longer than we hoped, I’m proud of the result, and the game we’re going to be releasing.
Interestingly Bithell also hinted at a sale for Volume happening on the PlayStation Store between now and the PS Vita release so keep on the lookout.
