Dark Horse, the publisher that brought us the Hyrule Historia, is also set to deliver an art book for Fire Emblem: Awakening in 2016. Titled The Art of Fire Emblem: Awakening, the book will feature character and storyboard concept art.
Previously released in Japan in 2012, the book will become available in the West next August – at comic book stores on the 17th and book stores on the 30th. The book has 320 pages and will sell in the U.S. for $40.
Art isn’t the only thing Fire Emblem players can look forward to viewing. Those who don’t mind spoilers or have already played through the game once or twice can treat themselves to the book’s complete script from every dialogue branch in the game. Game scripts can usually be found user-made online, but this marks one of the few, if not only, times one has actually been published in book form. Fire Emblem is an inspiring series, and the art book promises to be no less.
