’90s kids, rejoice! The newest Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game, Turtles in Manhattan, has a confirmed release date of May 24, 2016. The new title from Activision and PlatinumGames will see our favorite Shell Shockers back in action, facing off against iconic villains such as Bebop, Rocksteady, Argmaggon, and, of course, Shredder. This announcement comes alongside a new trailer for the game, which you can watch below.
Mutants in Manhattan will feature a single player campaign, as well as an online co-op mode that will let you join forces with up to three other players to take control of the four Heroes in a Half-Shell.
The TMNT video games have been a hit-and-miss affair throughout the years, but the series has delivered some of the finest arcade-style brawler gaming experiences of all time. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game for the NES, and Turtles in time for the SNES stand out among the best, but it has been some time since we’ve played a worthwhile TMNT game. However, PlatinumGames penchant for fast-paced, slick combat and pretty visuals makes Mutants in Manhattan seem like a potential winner.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan will be released for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
