Watch Dogs Sequel Rumoured to Feature New Protagonist

Nerd Leaks, a Twitter account dedicated to finding previously undiscovered or unreleased facts in gaming culture, has discovered evidence that Watch Dogs 2 may be featuring a new protagonist. Actor Cort King tweeted the following image, saying he “had a blast doing motion capture work as the lead character in a new video game series”. King has since made his Twitter account private.

The character in question dons a baseball cap and bandana similar to the one that Aiden Pearce, the main character of the first game, wore. Watch Dogs, developed by Ubisoft Montreal, was released in 2014 and was met with mostly positive reviews. Earlier this year, Ubisoft confirmed that a sequel would be released by the end of March 2017. Watch Dogs 2 is speculated to be released earlier than that, however, in time for the 2016 holiday season.
