Unity Technologies, developer of the Unity game engine, announced at Unite Europe that the newest version of their product, Unity 5, will be undergoing a price restructure. The new commercial options include personal, Plus, Pro, and Enterprise.
Unity Personal remains free and will include Android and iOS Pro add-ons. The Plus version comes at $35/month for twelve months, or $45/month for one month. Pro costs $125/month with a one year plan. Users of the Personal and Plus versions must go Pro after hitting $100,000 in revenue per year. At the end of Pro’s one-year contract, pay-to-own options will become available.
Enterprise version throws in the source code, and pricing is available upon request. All current subscribers may stay on their current payment plan until June 2018.
