Microsoft showed off their next entry into the Forza series coming in the form of Forza Horizon 3. Both a cinematic trailer and in-game gameplay sessions were shown. Within the gameplay demo, players were seen driving various street and off-road vehicles across Australia landscapes. Environments ranged from a dense forest to a desolate, beautiful beach.
Some of the new features highlighted in the trailer include new gameplay features and challenges, PC and Xbox One cross-play, and seamless transitions in and out of cooperative play. Joining another’s gameplay session was said to be as easy as “pressing a button” to “synchronize” with very little delay. The drop-in effect looked to be literal as a helicopter dropped players into the same environment as the other player(s).
Forza Horizon 3 will be available on both PC and Xbox One on September 27, 2016.
