Xbox One S Officially Announced at E3

After much speculation, Microsoft has revealed a brand new version of the Xbox One, called the Xbox One S.

The Xbox One S boasts an impressive list of improvements and upgrades. The console will be a whopping 40 percent smaller, includes High Dynamic Range upgrades making it capable of 4K gaming, comes with either 500GB, 1 TB, or 2TB of internal storage, features an infrared blaster, and an on-board power supply (to replace the massive power boxes that have accompanied Xbox consoles for years. It also comes packaged with a brand new Xbox One controller that showcases textured grips and Bluetooth capabilities.

The 500 GB edition of the new console will debut at $299 USD, and is an undeniably sleeker and sexier model than Microsoft’s current bulky rectangle. The 1TB model will cost $349 USD, and the 2TB will set gamers back $399 USD. The 2TB edition will launch some time in August of this year, with the smaller versions to follow soon thereafter.
