PS4 System Update Beta Inbound

Sony will be selecting a number of PS4 owners to help beta test the system’s upcoming 4.0 software update. The only requirements are that participants must be of at least 18 years of age, have a PS4 connected to the Internet, and a master account. The test will begin in August.

The beta agreement is a generic form explaining that usage data will be collected from users and what they will be able to do with the software.

Interested PS4 owners may sign up for the beta test on Playstation’s registration page. The only information required to enter is a PlayStation Network user name. Testers will also be able to revert back to the 3.55 system version at any time. The new and upgraded features that come with the update were not given.
