Developer nDreams has today confirmed that its first-person adventure title, The Assembly, will be amongst the launch titles for PlayStation VR when it lands later this month.
The Assembly was originally released on Steam for Oculus Rift earlier in the year, where it currently holds mixed reviews. The game is described as an “immersive, interactive story” that is inspired by “real-world anxieties”. Its central focus is on the workings of the eponymous Assembly, an enigmatic collective that conducts a number of suspect experiments away from the gaze of the public eye.
According to nDreams, The Assembly has been designed as an “accessible introduction” to virtual reality, making use of the DualShock 4 controller and not requiring players to leave the comfort of their chair.
The title will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on Thursday, October 13, where it will be priced at £19.99 ($29.99 USD / €24.99).
