Battlefield 1 Available Now to Early Enlisters

For the eager bunch who can’t wait to get their fill of all-out World War I carnage, the Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition is now available worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Origin on PC.

With the Deluxe Edition, players get to throw themselves into the fray three days before anyone else. They also get themed content packs with weapons, vehicles and items, Battlepacks and skins. Players will also get one-week early access to the new map, Giant’s Shadow, in December.

An EA press release revealed that the three themed content packs include: The Hellfighter Pack, inspired by the Harlem Hellfighters, the first African-American infantry unit and one of the toughest of the Great War. The pack contains themed items based on their heroic deeds; The Red Baron Pack, to take to the skies crammed with items inspired by the famous fighter pilot, the flying ace of the German air force; and The Lawrence of Arabia Pack, where the weapons and items available are based on the adventures of the famous archeologist and diplomat who played a pivotal role in the Arab Revolt against the Ottoman Empire.

So far, Battlefield 1 is garnering some impressive reviews, with many critics from Polygon, Gamespot, Time, Game Revolution, the Sixth Axis and more hailing the game as a return to form for DICE, following the less-than-lauded Battlefront and the problematic launch of Battlefield 4 before that.

Even the single player campaign is receiving positive nods, which even the staunchest Battlefield fan would have to admit is a bit unprecedented for the series.
