RTS Title Iron Harvest Announced for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

A new real-time strategy game, titled Iron Harvest, was announced today by developer KING Art Games. The game will be a collaboration between artist Jakub Różalski and KING Art Games, and will be available for Xbox One, PS4, and PC in 2018.

Iron Harvest is set in an alternate universe called 1920+, where mankind is fighting each other with powerful walking machines leftover from the war effort. Ultimately, groups are looking to destabilize Europe using upgraded versions of those machines. This is due to the “iron harvest” after the Great War ended; farmers found piles of barbed wire, shrapnel, weapons, bullets, etc., in their fields.

Polish artist Jakub Różalski created the concept of 1920+, while KING Art looked to apply that art to a game that is similar to Men of War or Company of Heroes. In a press release, project lead Jan Theysen stated, “We want to bring a similar gameplay experience to this world Jakub created; [leading] hero characters, mechs, and soldiers into epic battles in open sandbox maps. Cover mechanics and dynamic destruction play a major role in combat.”

Iron Harvest is in early development at this time. For now, check out some of the artwork below, featuring one of the main characters from the game’s campaign, Anna.
