MW2 Weapon Found in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered; Activision Taking Down Evidence

COD MW Remastered

A weapon that featured in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been discovered in the game files of Modern Warfare Remastered, prompting speculation that Activision is planning to release additional weapons from other entries in the franchise as DLC.

The popular FN FAL assault rifle has been data mined in the remastered first-person shooter’s PC release by YouTube user SamuelTDope, and found to exist as a fully functioning – albeit normally inaccessible – weapon.

At first, it was believed that the gun’s existence in Modern Warfare Remastered’s game files may have been simply a leftover from an early stage of development, but speculation on social media that it may point to a future DLC for the title has intensified after Activision began issuing copyright strikes against any user who shared, or recreated the footage.

What do you think the existence of the FAL in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered points to? Sound off in the comments below.

When will people stop paying 60 bucks for a 5h campaign and a few auto-generated multiplayer maps, another 40 or 50 bucks for a season pass, that will give access to content that got removed from the main game, while having to play 500 hours and win 3’000 games, only to unlock a few weapons, + another 100, 200, 300 bucks, to buy perks, weapons, skins, moves, etc etc.
All that, on a game that will be released with tons of bugs, that will require several massive patches, and once people have spent up to $500 on the game, a few months later, another november will come, and another copy/paste Call of duty game will release, and it will be time to start everything from scratch, and spend another hundreds and hundreds dollars on the new game.

and even worse, 5yo call of duty games are still being sold at 50-70% of the full price, on the PSN. 5yo games !

When will it stop? When will people wake up?

If people are willing to spend their money on it, what’s the problem? What do you lose from it? People sink money in to a bunch of games that barely change each year, or don’t even change at all for a long time. They’re fully aware of what they’re doing, but I can only assume they want to spend their money on these things. People buy remasters of games that are 5 years old, people buy season passes, people buy skins, etc.
I don’t like the way the industry milks people this way, but they’re making money and the industry is growing. But all the time it’s for things I have no interest in buying, I won’t complain because it’s not my money.
