It seems Call of Duty’s staple microtransactions will soon be coming to the latest entry in the popular first-person shooter franchise, after a listing for Infinite Warfare Call of Duty Points leaked earlier today on the PlayStation Store.
While the listing is now no longer available, users reporting seeing it on the homepage of the North American store for several hours earlier today – while the game’s latest update has seemingly brought a CODPoints icon to the game’s HUD, which can be viewed when online play is disabled.
COD Points proved controversial when introduced to last year’s Call of Duty: Black Ops III, where they could be used on the in-game black market to purchase new weapons in addition to cosmetic upgrades. They were priced as follows; it is expected Infinite Warfare will follow a similar pricing scheme:
- 200 CP for $1.99 USD
- 1100 CP for $9.99 USD
- 2400 CP for $19.99 USD
- 5000 CP for $39.99 USD
- 13000 CP for $99.99 USD
