Remedy Entertainment, the developer of Quantum Break, sent the Internet into a tizzy yesterday when it released a ‘teaser’ for a purported new game via Youtube and social media. As it turns out, however, the stunt was merely an ingenious piece of viral marketing designed to advertise the company’s career vacancies.
Following up from the initial teaser, The Greatest Trailer of All Time, comes Making Games Is Hard, a hilarious satirical blooper reel video that demonstrates the challenges of game development. The video montage closes out with Remedy’s creative director, Sam Lake, delivering a piece-to-camera, inviting those who enjoyed the campaign to apply to work at the company, “as that is what making games is all about”.
The wait must go on, therefore, for an Alan Wake 2 announcement.
