Batman: The Telltale Series Receives Massive 7.7GB Patch

Telltale has this week released a huge title update for the PC version of Batman – The Telltale Series, which provides performance fixes and optimisation for each of the game’s four episodes available to date.

Tucked away in a press release issued earlier today regarding the upcoming launch of the season finale, the studio issued the following statement:

“Telltale has released a performance patch for Batman – The Telltale Series on Steam, updating the game to support a wider range of PC configurations and address some of the concerns we heard when the game launched earlier this year. This patch contains significant performance improvements as well as adding numerous performance settings to allow users to customize the game for their systems.”

We can confirm that the patch weighs in at a little over 7.7GB for users who have already downloaded every episode released so far – effectively requiring them to re-download an optimised version of each release.

Some users have reported an improved frame rate and other graphical improvements since installing the patch, although it appears as though certain pieces of music have been removed from the game’s premiere episode, Realm of Shadows.

In lieu of official patch notes, Power Up Gaming is investigating the full extent of changes introduced in this title update.
