Here Are The Winners of The PlayStation Awards 2016

In Tokyo last night, Sony held its 2016 edition of The PlayStation Awards, an event that celebrates not only critical acclaim, but commercial success in Asian territories. Famitsu has provided the results of the award show, as well as a description of each category. The winners are as follows:

Gold Prize *

  • Dark Souls III
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End
  • The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III
  • Jikkyo Powerful Pro Yakyu 2016
  • Sword Art Online: Lost Song
  • Dragon Quest Heroes II: Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End
  • Dragon Quest Builders
  • Persona 5

*Awarded for games shipped and downloaded digitally with a number over 500,000 in Japan and the rest of Asia between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016.

PlayStation Network Award*

  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2016
  • Dragon’s Dogma Online
  • Phantasy Star Online 2

*Awarded for the 3 most commercially successful PSN titles in Japan between October 1, 2015 and September 30, 2016.

Users’ Choice Awards*

  • Bloodborne: The Old Hunters
  • Dark Souls III
