Annual Speedrunning Event AGDQ 2017 Ends With $2.2M Raised for Cancer Charity

The seventh annual Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) speedrunning marathon has closed out today with over $2.2 million being raised for charity – smashing the group’s previous fundraising record by nearly a million dollars.

The week-long event, which was held in support of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, saw well-known members of the speedrunning community come together in Herndon, Virginia to complete both retro and modern popular games in the shortest amount of time possible, in order to solicit viewer donations for the charity.

If you missed out on any of the action, a thread on the speedrunning subreddit has kept an extensive record of VoDs for each available run.
