Dragon Age 4 Could Be a Multiplayer Online Title Based On Live Service Model

Dragon Age 4

Dragon Age 4 is a game that fans want to play but it won’t come out until Anthem is released. We know that the game exists and that it is one of the projects under development. From recent tweets, it appears that the game will be an online multiplayer title and that it will be based on the live service model.

BioWare’s Casey Hudson and Patrick Weekes recently tweeted the following:

“Happy fourth birthday to #DragonAgeInquisition. Whatever happens in the future, I’m proud to have been part of a team committed to making its players’ lives better.”

While this seems like nothing much on its own, compare it to a previous tweet and you get an idea of what I am talking about here:

“Some weird stuff going around about how our future games will be influenced by Anthem. Of course, when we do a Dragon Age game it will be designed from the ground up based on what Dragon Age should be. Same with Mass Effect…

“Anthem is a specific thing that’s unique from our other IPs in many ways. What carries forward is what we learn about game design, which is a constant evolution.”

It seems that Bioware is going to try the Fallout 76 approach with the upcoming Dragon Age 4. I am sure that fans are going to be concerned about that. Fans were not happy when Bethesda announced that Fallout 76 would be a multiplayer online game and look where it is now. Dragon Age is another franchise that people care about deeply and if the game is based on a service model then we could be looking at a massive failure.

There is still a lot that we do not know about Dragon Age 4, so do take this with a grain of salt. Dragon Age 4 will not come out until Anthem releases, so things could be different. Bioware might not go with a service model for the game at the end of the day.

We will keep you updated regarding Dragon Age 4, so stay tuned for more information and news regarding the game.
