While there was a lot of hype around Fallout 76, people were also concerned about a multiplayer online Fallout game. It turns out that the fans were right to be concerned and the game is not what everyone expected it to be.
Fans just wanted a game where they could explore the expansive open world without being trolled by other players. What players got was a game that had plenty of severe issues at launch and even a massive update did not fix the overall experience of Fallout 76.
Multiple players have reported that refunds are available from the game’s launcher. Fallout 76 has got plenty of bad reviews and this might be one of the ways in which Bethesda is trying to save face, by offering refunds to players that do not want to play the game.
It has only been a few days since the game has come and we already knew that there would be issues at launch. We did not know that we would be given a pretty broken game that seems rushed. While I am sure that Bethesda is working on making Fallout 76, I think that the refund option is great for people that have had their fair share and would rather play something else.
We recently talked about the Creation Engine on which Fallout 76 is based and how it is dated. This is one of the reasons why people do not like the game. The issue does not end here as Bethesda has confirmed that upcoming games like Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI will be based on the same old engine as well.
Bethesda CEO Todd Howard has confirmed that the engine will be updated for the upcoming games just like it has been updated for Fallout 76. Keeping in mind what the engine has to offer in 2018, I do not think that this will fly with the fans.
Let us know what you think about Fallout 76 and whether you would rather get a refund than to give the game another shot. For more information and news regarding the matter stay tuned.
