Homophobic Fallout 76 Players Banned for Life for Trying to “Eliminate All Gays”

Fallout 76 has got plenty of things wrong and fans are very disappointed, to say the least. First, we had the hacking issue and all the bugs at launch. Not to mention the outdated engine on which the game is based. There was also the bag incident for all the people that bought the Power Armor edition of Fallout 76. It seems that Bethesda has finally done something right and it was about time.

A couple of guys that were planning on eliminating all the gays were banned for life by the company after a player reported their activities. In his defence, the bully stated:

“My version of the incident is more or less the same as the public has taken it, the only differences being the fact that I don’t hate gay people. It was just a late night of having fun and after the first encounter (seen on my channel) we felt it would be fun to offend them somehow. You can call that evil but I think it’s just playful immaturity.”

The bully mentioned that he does not regret what happened and that although he was not planning on apologizing, he did not plan the initial events. Bethesda initially banned these players for three days but now they have been banned for life.

While this is something that we can appreciate and a step that Bethesda has taken in good faith, it is worth noting that while you can block players, there is no report button and you will need to contact the devs in order to get someone banned. A Bethesda spokesperson touched on the matter and the following is what he had to say in this regard:

“We will not tolerate this kind of behaviour by any of our players, nor towards any of our players. We will continue to investigate claims of misconduct or abuse – along with Microsoft and Sony – and take action when necessary.”

Let us know what you think about these Fallout 76 players getting banned and let us know what you would do in such a situation.
