Anthem Will Feature No Season Pass or Paid DLC; Demo Release Confirmed

Anthem Demo

As the year is coming to an end, we are getting more information about Anthem. Michael Gamble, the lead producer of the game, talked about the upcoming Anthem demo and provided some interesting details.

He mentioned that players will start the Anthem demo at level 10 and will be able to level up their characters to level 15. He also mentioned that the progress will not carry forward to the full version of the game. This means that once the demo is over and you start the actual game, you will start from the beginning.

The Anthem demo will allow people to play some of the missions. It includes a stronghold and access to parts of Fort Tarsis as well. Players will be able to roam freely in some parts of the map and explore the surroundings. Fans that have pre-ordered the game will be able to play the demo on January 25. If you are still on the fence and are waiting to see more then you will be able to play the Anthem demo on February 1st.

Gamble also talked about the possibility of a season pass and paid DLC for Anthem. He mentioned that if you have bought the game then that is enough as there will be no season pass of paid DLC for Anthem. This could mean that we could be looking at free DLC and that instead of asking for money for a season pass or DLC, BioWare is going to make money through microtransactions.

Executive producer Mark Darrah has already confirmed that there will be no loot boxes and that players will not be able to pay for more power. If that is indeed the case then it is more than likely that the microtransactions will be for aesthetic items only. That is something that I can live with.

Let us know what you think about the Anthem demo and whether or not you are interested in checking it out before the game officially launches.
