Former Ubisoft Developer Confirms New Splinter Cell

Splinter Cell Ubisoft

Splinter Cell is a franchise that is near and dear to our hearts, but it is a shame that we have not got a game since 2013. Fans were very excited when there was a lean earlier this year that hinted that we could get a new game at E3 2018 but there was no announcement concerning Splinter Cell.

There have been a couple of leaks and hints concerning an upcoming Splinter Cell game but we never got anything concrete until now. Jade Raymond, a former empl0yee at Ubisoft that has worked on games like Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs mentioned that there was indeed a new Splinter Cell concept in the works but as she no longer works at the company, she cannot talk about it. The following is what she had to say in this regard:

“The last Splinter Cell is the last one that shipped, so… You know what: There is a design that we actually had and worked on and would have wanted to make, but since I am not at Ubisoft anymore I can’t talk about it and I don’t know who wants to share that concept.”

It is possible that Ubisoft started development on a new Splinter Cell game but then abandoned the project. It is also possible that Ubisoft is actually working on the game but a small group is on the project and that is why it is taking so long. There are a couple of possibilities here.

While it has been a couple of years since the franchise got a new entry. I am sure that people could be glad to be able to play a new Splinter Cell game.

Let us know what you think about a new Splinter Cell game and whether or not that is something that you would be interested in checking out.
