Resident Evil 2 Remake Has HDR Implementation Issues

Resident Evil 2 Remake is a great game and I have already talked about how developers should learn a thing or two about remaking a game from Capcom. While Resident Evil 2 Remake is impressive, everything is not perfect and the game does have some HDR implementation issues.

This is an issue that I first noticed in the demo of the game but it is frustrating to see that it has not been resolved in the final version of the game. HDR is not a huge issue and it can be fixed with an update but seeing how the game is not a very long one it is more than likely that I will have finished the game before the patch is released. I think the same is the case for other players as well.

The game is roughly eight hours long and even if you decide to play as both the characters you will be able to finish it within a day if you really wanted to. I know that HDR is relatively new for games and there are only a few games that get this right the first time but you would expect a developer like Capcom to do things better.

At times the Resident Evil 2 Remake HDR implementation is spot on but there are times when the HDR makes things worse. That is why it is something that I cannot recommend right now and if you want a better experience then you will be better off turning HDR off. There is no official news regarding the matter so I am not sure how long a patch is going to take but stay tuned for more information and news regarding the matter.
