The Division 2 is available for people that paid for the Gold or Ultimate Edition and players have noticed a game breaking bug. It turns out that 2 people cannot play the game on the same connection. This was discovered by a Reddit user that was trying to play The Division 2 with his wife. The game ran fine when both were playing solo but the game broke when either one tried to join each other.
The following is what he had to report regarding The Division 2 bug:
Launching two copies of the game from the same network (or same external IP) breaks the game, all of the enemies on her side don’t move and she can’t interact with them at all, but she still sees loot and objective updates. If she attempts to join me, same thing happens.
If you are facing the same issue then you are in luck. The same Reddit user also provided a workaround which is as follows:
Join groups, game breaks, both players alt-F4 and reconnect. You will still be in a group. On this reconnect, games are synced properly. Leaving the group and rejoining again this time did NOT cause a break. I will test some more and check in.
This does affect you if you are looking for random players to play The Division 2 with. You will only encounter this issue if someone else is trying to play the game with you, using the same internet connection. Luckily, Ubisoft does know about the issue and will fix it soon. We are not sure how quickly the matter is going to be resolved but I am sure that it will be patched before the game is available to the masses on the 15th of March.
If you are interested in playing the game on PS4 then you should clear some storage as the game is really big on the console. We already know that The Division 2 is better when it comes to replayability and that the first year of content is free.
