Prince Harry Claims Fortnite is More Addictive Than Drugs

Fortnite has thousands of players and people from all around the world play it no matter what their age is. Access to the game is easy as it is free-to-play. Prince Harry talked about the game and he mentioned how it can ruin a child’s mindset. He mentioned that Fortnite like social media is more dangerous and addictive compared to drugs.

He talked about social media and how there are little to no restrictions on these sites. He also talked about how Fortnite should not be allowed. The following is what he had to say in this regard:

A game like Fortnite for instance may not be so good for children. Parents have got their hands up; they don’t know what to do about it. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken down. Fortnite shouldn’t be allowed. Where is the benefit in having that game in your household?

While I get that the excess of anything is bad and some people do play too much Fortnite but banning it might be a bit too extreme. This might upset other players that are not addicted to the game and play it for a reasonable amount of time when they get back from work or are free. I think that banning the game is not the solution here and that parents should take more care of what their children are doing and how much screen time they have. He further went on to mention the following:

It’s created to addict – an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.

Fortnite cross-play matchmaking changed a while back and you can also check out our advance looting tips if you are interested in playing the game.

While I see why Prince Harry would be concerned, I am sure that the gaming community does not share his opinion. Let us know what you think about Prince Harry’s statement regarding Fortnite and whether or not you agree with what he had to say.
