Borderlands 3 is one of the most anticipated games right now and we recently got some gameplay footage of the game. Here we are going to breakdown the Borderlands 3 gameplay for you in case you missed some of the details.
Gearbox CEO, Randy Pitchford, and Creative Director, Paul Sage have confirmed that while there will be microtransactions in the game, they will all be cosmetic only. You cannot pay to get ahead of the rest. That is great news keeping in mind what has been happening in the gaming industry for a while now. Gearbox will most likely not make the same mistakes.
If you missed the footage then you can check it out below:
Random loot is going to drop and it will scale according to the level of the player. You and other team members will not fight over loot in Borderlands 3 and will get loot of your own. This is a much-appreciated change compared to the older titles. Team damage will also be balanced so that low level and high-level players feel on the similar.
Guns have alternate firing modes in Borderlands 3. We saw that you could switch from regular ammo to micro-missiles when using a pistol. Some cover is destructible in Borderlands 3 which is nothing new but a great addition to the game. This feature can also be used to your advantage when shooting enemies. Another interesting feature is that if you are down, some NPCs will be able to bring you back.
Skills are a major part of the game just like previous titles. In Borderlands 3, skills can be changed so that two vault hunters are not similar when it comes to abilities.
You can invest tons of hours into the game but you will be able to rush the campaign in 30 hours. If you are looking to get all the achievements then it is going to take much longer. This does include Side Quests.
Pre-ordering the game will get you Gold Weapon Skins and a pack of Weapon Trinket. If you buy the Deluxe Edition you will also get the following content:
- The Retro Cosmetic Pack, Neon Cosmetic Pack, and the Gearbox Cosmetic Pack of Apparel, Echo Device, and Weapon Skins for the Vault Hunter.
- The Toy Box Weapon Pack which includes 2 Toy Guns, a Grenade Mod, and finally a Weapon Trinket.
- Mods for increased XP and loot drop.
The Super Deluxe Edition comes with everything mentioned above but you also get the season pass which gives you access to four DLC episodes and Butt Stallion cosmetic items. The season pass can be bought separately as well.
You also have the Diamond Loot Chest Collector’s Edition which comes with a diamond loot chest replica and some additional goodies which are mentioned in the official picture included below:
