Watch Dogs Legion was leaked a while back and was confirmed by Ubisoft at E3 2019. Creative director of the game Clint Hocking talked about the different combat mechanics of the game and mentioned Watch Dogs Legion has a new melee system.
Ubisoft has ensured that if you want to have non-lethal combat then that is an option in the game. If you do not pull out a gun then in most cases the enemy is not going to either and you can enjoy some hand to hand combat.
The following is what Hocking had to say regarding the melee combat in Watch Dogs Legion:
We really focused on having non-lethal weapons this time around so about half of the weapons are non-lethal and then we focused on making on a pretty robust melee system so if you don’t pull out guns, the enemies won’t pull out guns – in most cases. We really wanted to make sure that non-lethal was an option in any combat encounter.
Fans must be interested in knowing whether or not you can beat the game without killing anyone and that is a great question indeed. Interestingly Hocking was not sure whether or not that is possible. The following is what he had to say about the matter:
I’m not going to say it was a goal for us to say that players can beat the game without killing anyone – maybe you can, I actually don’t know. It’s not a goal for us; the goal was to make sure we have robust non-lethal options for players.
This is a particularly important question that fans are interested in learning about and we will keep you updated regarding the matter so stay tuned for more information regarding Watch Dogs Legion.
